DTU boy gets annual salary of 1.25 crore from US-based cab-hailing company Uber Technologies.

Delhi Technological University (DTU) is proud to have students like Sidharth Raja, a final year Computer Science & Engineering student who has received a job offer with an annual salary of Rs 1.25 crore from United States-based cab-hailing company Uber Technologies as a software engineer in San Francisco USA office.

Sidharth Raja is not the only success story from DTU as in 2015 Chetan Kakkar Computer Science & Engineering student was offered an annual salary of Rs.1.27 crore from software giant Google. In the past, many students have been offered Rs.70 lakh per annum by software firm EPIC, Rs.28 lakh by bankers Goldman Sachs and Rs.19 lakh by Amazon and much more.

DTU already have 1050 offers from different companies. Around 200 companies have already visited the college and more in the line,” said Dr.R.S Walia, head of training and placement at DTU.

Sidharth in an interview with PTI said: "I am looking forward to grooming my technological skills at Uber before I begin brainstorming on my start-up plan which I see as a long-term goal". Sidharth Raja an alumnus of the Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj scored  95.4 per cent in his Class 12 board examinations and scored 98 out of 100 in computer science and mathematics. He later cleared the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and secured himself a seat at DTU.

Delhi Technological University, formerly known as Delhi College of Engineering, is a premier government university located in New Delhi, India. It is one of the oldest engineering colleges in India and Delhi's first engineering college.
