Aahvaan-2017 the Inter College Sports Festival of Delhi Technological University


Amidst the fierce and intense competition, exceptionally high standards and an eager and enthusiastic bunch of supporters, the Sports have become much more energetic and vibrant over the past few decades. A few faces are often lost in the mist of glory, a few often forgotten in the loud cheers, but nevertheless, their contribution and dedication cannot be undermined. Aahvaan-2017 the Inter College Sports Festival of Delhi Technological University aiming to be North India's largest sports festival, will be unforgettable with its seamless mix of sport, culture and a social cause to be held from 23rd to 26th March 2017. 

The sports fest will have competition like Athletics (M&W), Badminton (M&W), Basketball (M&W), Cricket (M) Chess (M&W), Carrom (M&W), Table-Tennis (M&W), Taekwondo (M&W), Tennis (M&W), Volleyball (M&W). Get ready to see some of the best panga among the top colleges of DELHI and NCR leading you to lump some cash prize in Kabbadi Tournament 2017 which will be judged by Pro Kabaddi Star Raiders like Surjeet Narwal (Bengal Warriors) And Rohit Kumar (Bengaluru Bulls).

Aahvaan-2017 also brings to you the AARUNYA, the North East panel discussion on 24th march’ 17 at 2 PM at B.R.Ambedkar Auditorium. Speakers like Partha Jyoti Borah (Cartoonist, journalist), Amit Singh (Editor-In-Chief Northeast Today), and Alana Golmei (Pann Nu Foundation Director, Burma Centre Delhi) will discuss the North East entirely, its opportunities, challenges in a broader context of the Indian union, etc. This panel discussion will change the way you look at your country.  


Aahvaan-2017 appreciates the culture of the North East, so you will witness a Ramp Walk, Bihu dance group performance along with 10 individuals who portray the traditional attire of the region on 24th march 5 pm onwards at B.R.Ambedkar Auditorium. 



In our fight with the ignorance of sports in our nation, we also chose to fight the ignorance of our nationals within our nation, by our nation, “Dastak” unn 8 darwazo mei, kyunki khule darwazon se hi roshni aati hai, Three street plays on 25th March 12 pm onwards at Open Air Theatre DTU.

So why not make the run itself fun?  AAHVAAN brings to you the “Color Run” Filled with music and rhythm, dance, drama and friends on all bends; the beautiful hues of your life in a campus that will become yours. The AAHVAAN Color Run will also represent the nation we are: vast, diverse and colourful, as it brings to the fore the North East, running its multifold colors through your veins. So join us for a beautiful, madcap, unifying adventure at 9 a.m. on 26th March 2017 at DTU.
